Dear athletes & friends,

We are exactly 40 days away from the opening ceremony of the Youth Olympic Games and I've the feeling that everyone gets more & more excited!

The BOIC-YOG TEAM is READY, that's for sure!!! What have we done in het last couple of days and what are our plans for this week? Well, last Tuesday we had the pleasure to meet all athletes & family members of the Belgian Junior Olympic Team by giving a first presentation to present Singapore, the Youth Olympic Games & the Culture & Education Program in the belgian Planetarium. I've been able to talk to almost everyone and I'm -now more than ever- convinced that we have a strong group of marvelous athletes, our athletes of the future!!! Everybody also got the equipments of Adidas (thank you Adidas ;-)...Now we are all together in the starting blocks!

Besides the administrative paperworks, we are planifying the program of the Training Camp in Ghent. We've got the good news that our Volleyball team will have the opportunity to train with the Polish team. We'll also organise a barbeque in attendance of famous Olympic Athletes ... & some other activities (which are secret for this moment) are planified!

I'm greatful that our Belgian Junior Olympic Team is promoting our & the IOC Facebook Fanpage. Everyday our team has more & more FANS! The media (in general) is doing his best efforts to make promotion. In the following weeks you'll see:

• TV-spots (VRT & RTBF) of the BOIC / BE GOLD
  
• Internet-campaign
  
• Advertising campaign of Unilever (Knack - Le Vif - Sportmagazine) with input of me as Young Ambassador


• Articles in De Zondag / 7 Demanche during our 3 weeks (every sunday) in Singapore


• Radio-action (witch will be defined almost)

Of course everyone can still follow us on Facebook! Everyday, you'll get the opportunity to meet a BJOT-ATLETE! Don't forget to send me over your results / pictures / movies / comments /... We -all together- have to promote the first edition of the Youth Olympic Games!
